Why does my soy wax look like that?

Due to the organic nature of pure soy wax candles may pit, lightly discolor, or have a slightly bumpy texture after they cool from a burn.

Natural Soy Wax Properties

In today’s mass-market world, people have become accustomed to perfectly smooth colorful candles. The reality is that most mass-produced candles are a blend of chemical enhancers, preservatives, hardeners, paraffin, or other waxes to create that look. We only use 100% soy wax and a blend of essential oils and clean fragrance oils in our candles. Due to the organic nature of pure soy wax, individual candles may vary slightly in texture and appearance.  Completely botanical soy wax candles contain no other chemical enhancers, hardeners, or other waxes, sometimes appear slightly pitted or discolored after cooling.  This is a natural property of 100% soy wax and does not alter candle performance in any way.
